Description
Reporting directly to our Talent Transformation Leader, we are seeking an exceptional lead to join the team, focused on Workforce Strategy and Transformation on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of workforce transformation—partnering with senior leaders to shape the future of work at Deloitte. You’ll play a key role in driving modernisation across the firm and leading the development of future-focused skills and talent strategies. This role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne and offers flexible hybrid working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
You will play a key role in partnering with AU leadership teams and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to shape and execute strategic and operational workforce planning initiatives that align with the organization’s future workforce needs.
You will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of workforce planning processes within Deloitte, collaborating with diverse stakeholders to ensure workforce strategies are in sync with business goals and objectives.
Your leadership will identify critical workforce needs, talent management initiatives and support service delivery transformation.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Leading the Firm’s Workforce Strategy & Plan
- Shape and deliver Deloitte’s 5-year Strategic Workforce Plan by aligning future workforce needs with long-term business priorities, market trends, and internal insights.
Supporting the execution of Operational Workforce Planning
- Enable effective annual and cyclical planning by developing frameworks, providing data-driven insights, and partnering with Talent and business leaders to inform key workforce decisions.
Supporting Offering Modernization
- Collaborate with transformation leaders to understand shifts in service delivery and translate them into actionable workforce strategies.
Ownership of Skills matrix and Talent Models
- Drive the development and implementation of skills taxonomies and talent models that reflect the firm’s evolving capability needs and support end-to-end talent planning.
Leadership of team and capabilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing Workforce Planning team, building capability across the function and providing expert guidance to HR and business stakeholders.
Qualification & Requirements
You may have all or some of the following skills / experiences:
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in Workforce Strategy and/or Transformation
- Deep experience and comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end strategic workforce planning process, with a proven ability to implement workforce plans in complex, dynamic contexts
- Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional projects, ensuring timely delivery of outcomes that align with strategic goals and priorities
- Expertise in leveraging data to drive workforce decisions, analysing trends, workforce drivers, and gaps to inform actionable strategies
- Strong understanding of external market trends, industry dynamics, and the unique context of Deloitte Australia, using these insights to guide and shape workforce planning decisions
- Demonstrated ability to align workforce planning strategies with the organization’s overall business objectives, anticipating future talent needs and driving long-term success
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively present, facilitate workshops, and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Outstanding executive-level stakeholder management skills, with a focus on building relationships, influencing decisions, and fostering collaboration across teams
