VP GM – UK Shared Services (Cycle 2 & Supply Chain)

Key Responsibilities

  • Set the strategy. Lead all component ‑ repair activity for the UK Engines Business Unit and the full UK Supply Chain, driving safety, quality, cost and TAT results.
  • Deliver the numbers. Partner with the Engines & Rotary VP/GM to achieve P&L, capacity and turnaround targets across multiple product lines and facilities.
  • Lead a high ‑ performing team. Coach and empower five direct ‑ report managers (Operations ‑ Component Repair, Senior Engineering, Senior Supply Chain, Planning and Project Management) and their teams.
  • Own the supply chain. Develop and execute end ‑ to ‑ end strategies for procurement, inventory, logistics, warehousing and distribution; negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance.
  • Strengthen resilience. Implement risk ‑ mitigation plans for material shortages, global disruptions and other supply ‑ chain challenges.
  • Champion compliance. Interface with FAA, EASA and the UK Military Airworthiness Authority; host audits and address customer and regulator actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement. Apply Lean tools and data analytics to optimize cost, efficiency and reliability across component repair and supply ‑ chain operations.
  • Represent the business. Provide forecast, demand ‑ planning and performance updates to Sector Presidents, Site leadership, Finance, Supply Chain and HR stakeholders.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering, aircraft engine maintenance, supply ‑ chain management or business administration (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years leading a mixed direct/indirect workforce, including labour planning and skills development.
  • 5+ years directing large ‑ scale manufacturing, maintenance or repair ‑ engineering operations in a highly regulated industry.
  • 5+ years managing full ‑ cycle supply ‑ chain functions—procurement, logistics, inventory and supplier management.
  • 3+ years hands ‑ on experience with regulators, suppliers and contract negotiations.
  • Proven analytical, problem ‑ solving, decision ‑ making and stakeholder ‑ management skills.
  • Strong technical acumen with working knowledge of industry safety and quality standards.
  • Completed aircraft/engine apprenticeship programme or equivalent practical training.
  • Fellow or Chartered status with the Royal Aeronautical Society (or equivalent professional body).
  • Formal Lean Six Sigma certification.
