Description

The Vice President of Financial Systems & ERP Transformation will drive the modernization of financial systems, workforce productivity analysis, and vendor governance within a transformative Technology Organization. This leader will evaluate and implement next-generation ERP platforms, financial reporting tools, and emerging technologies to optimize planning, business processes, and performance insights. The role also focuses on the integration and optimization of key financial, tax, inventory, procurement, warehousing, and reporting tools to enhance operational efficiency and compliance across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end transformation of financial systems, including the selection, implementation, and optimization of an enterprise-wide ERP system.
  • Define and execute the roadmap for ERP modernization, aligning with business and financial objectives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, IT, Operations, and Business Units) to ensure seamless integration of financial systems with broader enterprise applications.
  • Oversee data governance, system security, and compliance requirements to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and system efficiencies.
  • Evaluate and implement next-generation ERP platforms, financial reporting tools, and emerging technologies to enhance financial planning and business process optimization.
  • Drive enhancements and operational efficiencies across key financial and ERP-related systems, including those supporting general ledger, accounts payable, procurement, supply chain, fixed assets, revenue tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on financial system capabilities and technology trends.
  • Lead and mentor a team of finance systems professionals, project managers, and IT specialists.
  • Engage with key business stakeholders to understand needs, prioritize projects, and drive adoption of new technologies.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and consultants to ensure the successful execution of transformation initiatives.
  • Drive business process reengineering to optimize financial workflows, reporting, and compliance.
  • Implement change management strategies to drive user adoption and minimize disruptions.
  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics to track the success of ERP transformation efforts.
  • Analyze workforce productivity and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure financial systems and ERP solutions comply with regulatory standards and internal controls (e.g., SOX, GAAP, IFRS, SEC requirements).
  • Continuously monitor risks and develop mitigation strategies related to system implementations and upgrades.

Qualification & Requirements

  • MBA or relevant advanced degree
  • Minimum of fifteen years of experience in financial systems, ERP transformation, and technology modernization within large-scale enterprises.
  • Experience in telecommunications and/or technology industry
  • Proven track record in leading financial system modernization efforts in a telecommunications or technology environment.
  • Deep expertise in ERP platforms such as Oracle and SAP, along with workforce reporting tools like Clarity.
  • Strong vendor management experience, including contract negotiation and governance of third-party providers.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance, internal audit processes and risk management
  • Ability to drive strategic change and transformation in a highly complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience in budget planning, forecasting, and financial system optimization.
  • Visionary mindset with the ability to align technology investments with long-term business goals.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based financial platforms and emerging technologies.
