Description

This VP level role will provide strategic leadership, mentorship, and guidance while fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation. This position demands an accomplished professional with a proven ability to align cross-departmental efforts toward achieving the organization’s mission and goals.

Vice President, Shared Services

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Champion the organization’s strategic priorities by aligning corporate services with broader organizational goals.
  • Serve as an advisor to the Executive Leadership Team and act on behalf of the CEO when delegated responsibilities.

Information Technology (IT)

  • Oversee the design and execution of short- and long-term IT strategies, including the adoption of emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Establish and manage IT operating and capital budgets to support organizational objectives.
  • Provide leadership in maintaining disaster recovery plans and innovative IT solutions to ensure operational continuity.

Project Management, Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop and implement best practices in project management and reporting frameworks, supporting compliance and operational goals.
  • Utilize analytics tools like Power BI to create actionable insights, dashboards, and KPIs to aid in decision-making.

Procurement, Contract Management, & Administration

  • Lead efficient management of procurement and vendor negotiations, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and policies.
  • Oversee office administration, including records retention compliant with FOIPPA, facilities management, and corporate event planning.

Qualification & Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressively senior leadership experience, ideally in the government sector, environmental services, or within a professional organization.
  • Extensive experience in strategic planning, change management, marketing, and financial management principles.
  • Knowledge of public communications, information systems, and accounting principles is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated success in motivating and driving teams.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and adaptively in fast-paced, evolving environments.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and manage deadlines and competing priorities effectively.
