Description

The Vice President of Business Support/Shared Services is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing all administrative, operational, and support functions across the organization. This role ensures that business support services align with organizational goals, driving efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Planning

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Business Support strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead annual planning, budgeting, and resource allocation for support functions.
  • Achieve a 15% improvement in operational efficiency year-over-year.
  • Participate in the development of ADG’s mission, vision, and strategic objectives with the Top Management Team.

Financial Management & Cost Optimization

  • Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and cost control for support functions.
  • Reduce operational costs by 10% within the first year without compromising service quality.
  • Ensure timely financial reporting and adherence to financial policies.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and procurement activities.
  • Achieve savings of at least 8% through negotiations and strategic sourcing.

Operational Excellence & Process Improvement

  • Oversee all the operations of the Business Support Division and ensure they are in line with ADG’s business direction.
  • Streamline the support processes like HR, Procurement and Legal functions using best practices and technology.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.

Talent Management & Organizational Development

  • Manage the recruitment, training, and development function of support teams.
  • Foster a high-performance culture through coaching and leadership development.
  • Maintain employee engagement scores above 80%; reduce attrition in support functions by 10%.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Act as a strategic partner to other departments and the executive leadership team.
  • Achieve a stakeholder satisfaction in support services.
  • Prepare reports to the Top Management utilizing business metrics and KPI measurement covering related activities aimed at indicating performance.

Qualification & Requirements

Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Master’s degree in business administration, Management, Finance or related field. OR Charter Accountant /CPA /ACCA certification.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 12 years of senior management experience in business support, operations, or corporate services.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering measurable improvements.
  • Experience in financial management, legal compliance, HR, IT systems, and procurement.
  • Strong experience in systems & software like Yardi, Clear Point, Share Point and Microsoft Skills.

Language Skills

  • Proficiency in English and Knowledge of Arabic would be an advantage.
