Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and practiced leader to join our Identity, Security and Network Services (ISN) team, as the Vice President of our Security Tooling Product Line. You will lead the strategy and vision for the services and capabilities that your team provides by working across the Federal Reserve System to understand incoming business requirements, partnering with teams and people across multiple Reserve Banks to create the capabilities needed to ensure we can properly manage our environment against threat actors and secure our platforms. You will be expected to cross organizational boundaries and drive the changes needed to support the Federal Reserve’s cloud and infrastructure transformation within your area, while maintaining a focus on ensuring all services under your direction continue to remain secure and reliable in supporting the US economy. You will partner closely with the Information Security Officers across the Federal Reserve as well as partner with teams across National IT as we work together to put security and risk policy into tools and controls that keep the Federal Reserve System safe.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating in a matrixed organization and influencing without authority. They will be familiar with and able to operate in an agile and product oriented operating model that is focused on delivering outcomes which provide business value over individual components. You will act as a servant leader and ensure your team is trained, empowered, and enabled to drive many decisions on their own and to move quickly, fail fast, and deliver quality outcomes. You and your team will be accountable and responsible for modernizing and uplifting our tooling as we continue our journey to the cloud and prepare for new challenges from Generative AI, post-quantum cryptography, and other emerging areas. As part of your remit, you will be responsible for tooling across cloud compliance, cryptographic services, data loss protection, threat analytics, and other critical security tooling areas.
Key Responsibilities
- World-Class Operations – Direct and ensure resiliency for security capabilities and services including data and database protections, SaaS and cloud posture management, and encryption and endpoint security.
- Deliver Business Value – Develop and implement strategies furthering processes, capabilities, and optimizations to security capabilities and tooling, automation and self-service, while regularly partnering with business partners and governing bodies.
- Leadership – Demonstrate experience with mentorship to foster personal and professional growth; be an active expert to help shape our future environment through strategic relationships, while ensuring the team is trained, empowered, and enabled to drive to decisions on their own and to move quickly, fail fast, and deliver quality outcomes.

Your Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or related field is required.
- 10+ years of work experience including prior management experience.
- Track record of strong leadership of a team of highly skilled professionals.
- Excellent communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to build and manage strong relationships and develop and drive product strategy/roadmap in a shared services environment.
- Expertise in relationship management and an exemplary ability to manage stakeholder expectations through clear and transparent communications.
- Significant experience in setting strategic direction, being accountable for and delivering strategic results and business value, aligning programs with the organization’s strategic direction, and focusing on continuous improvement efforts within a complex IT organization.
- Strong domain knowledge of security, compliance, and cryptographic tooling and frameworks along with broad knowledge of current trends in cloud, automation, and self-service capabilities.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret level security clearance.
- Travel: up to 25% of the time
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
