Description
The Vice President of Human Resources (VP of HR) will lead the HR function for a leading semiconductor manufacturing company, with a specific focus on Fab or Foundry operations. This role is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of talent management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation. The VP of HR will provide strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and plans to the executive management team, shareholders, and the board of directors.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives, particularly in Fab or Foundry operations.
- Talent Management: Oversee recruitment, retention, and development of top talent to ensure the company has the necessary skills and capabilities to meet its goals.
- Employee Relations: Foster a positive and productive work environment, addressing employee concerns and resolving conflicts.
- Performance Management: Implement performance management systems that drive high performance and accountability.
- Compensation and Benefits: Design and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent.
- Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and career development.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations.
- Diversity and Inclusion: Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion within the organization.
- HR Metrics: Utilize HR metrics to provide insights and drive decision-making.
Qualification & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 15 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the semiconductor manufacturing industry, specifically in Fab or Foundry operations.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of HR best practices and labor laws.
- Proven ability to manage complex employee relations issues.
- Experience with HR metrics and analytics.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a global or multinational company.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR).
