Description

As the Vice President of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Engineering at Disney Corporate, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our cybersecurity and engineering functions. This position is integral to maintaining Disney’s status as a world-class entertainment leader, ensuring the security and efficiency of our global operations. You will collaborate with visionary leaders and innovative teams, driving strategies that support Disney’s storytelling legacy and inspire millions worldwide. Success in this role requires strategic thinking, adaptability, and influential leadership. This role’s focus is to deliver world-class technologies and tools for the engineering and application teams across TWDC, including all aspects of Identity and Access management. Additionally, this leader will set the strategy for and deliver on shared services for development & engineering teams, including a quality engineering function and a service driving common tools, frameworks, and development practices.

Vice President, IAM and Engineering

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop strategies for IAM and engineering functions, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
  • Oversee financial performance and accountability for the IAM and engineering departments.
  • Responsible for the Information Security strategy, architecture, policies, and controls across the enterprise-wide IAM space.
  • Lead and oversee the implementation of a “zero trust”/multi-layered trust model for authentication across TWDC.
  • Partner with ISOs to ensure technology systems and assets are correctly classified by risk and protected with appropriate IAM controls.
  • Lead the strategy, architecture, and implementation of Identity Lifecycle Management (ILM) technologies to ensure strong process controls for management of identities & their access.
  • Lead a team of engineers, who provide shared technology components to development teams across TWDC. Lead a strategy for shared technology components, identifying governance and collaboration processes to ensure synergy and reuse of the most important and valuable components.
  • Drive software engineering best practices and training programs, including a focus on AI and “Vibe Coding.” Coordinate a strong cross-TWDC practice for sharing of knowledge and techniques for software engineering.
  • Lead a world class quality engineering function, providing testing services to teams across enterprise technology, and other teams as needed. This function should have a strong focus on automation and leveraging the most current technologies and practices.
  • Stay current on the latest practices and technologies in the IAM and engineering disciplines, including by maintain strong relationships with strong technology vendors. Work to influence the roadmaps of key vendors to meet the needs of TWDC.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and best practices.
  • Inspire and mentor teams to achieve excellence in engineering and IAM practices.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Experience in leading large scale software engineering organizations and delivery of significant consumer-facing technology.
  • Expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and cybersecurity.
  • Experience in building and supporting identity solutions, either for consumers or corporate environments.
  • Good knowledge in OKTA and SailPoint, or equivalent technologies.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent influence, collaboration and communication skills.
  • Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in entertainment or related industries.
  • Proven track record of driving financial performance in a corporate setting.
  • Global/international experience
