Description

SingleStore is seeking a dynamic and experienced executive to lead our financial operations function. As a key member of the Finance team, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing our financial strategy, supporting business growth at scale, and ensuring operational excellence and stewardship. This remote position reports to the CFO. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven track record in finance leadership, preferably within US based SaaS or technology-driven organizations.

Vice President, Finance – India

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies aligned with SingleStore’s global and regional business objectives.
  • Oversee and continuously improve and streamline all aspects of the financial operations of the company including Procure-to-Pay, Order-To-Cash, payroll, inter-company accounting.
  • Minimize reliance on 3rd party consultants and vendors for processes such as payroll, close accounting and statutory filings
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including tax, audit, and statutory requirements.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning while maintaining redundancy to minimize risk.
  • Provide financial and business decision support to the executive leadership team, including scenario analysis and investment planning.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital allocation to support ongoing operations and continued future growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency, cost optimization, and profitability enhancement.
  • Prepare and present timely, accurate financial analysis and spending insights to internal and external stakeholders, including the Board as needed.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant professional certification (CPA, CMA, CFA) preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 10 years in senior leadership roles (Head of Finance, VP, GM, or equivalent), ideally in US based SaaS, technology or high-growth public company or private equity environments.
  • Experience scaling and running a shared services center / center of excellence for US based organizations.
  • Deep knowledge of Indian and international accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning & analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision support.
  • Strong leadership, people management, and team development skills.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with financial systems and tools (e.g., Oracle NetSuite, Salesforce, Hubspot, Excel, etc.).
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data for diverse audiences.
