SkyWater is representing a Global Manufacturing company as they look to bring on a Vice President Corporate Controller. This leader will be directly responsible for all controllership functions with includes accounting operations, shared service, and internal controls. We are looking for a proactive leader passionate about driving change. Our ideal candidate possess the ability to develop partnerships, build effective teams, and demonstrate strong communication and analytical skills. Vice President Corporate Controller

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of quality and promote ongoing enhancements.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with experience managing a complex, dynamic accounting organization.
  • Accounting Expertise: Extensive experience leading accounting functions and teams, with a proven track record in process improvement and collaboration with business partners.
  • Public Company Experience: Familiarity with consolidated accounting and reporting roles within U.S. public companies.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Experience applying Sarbanes-Oxley financial requirements.
  • Relationship Building: Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with key business leaders, external auditors, and the audit committee.
  • Process Improvement: Proven ability to execute process improvement initiatives within a matrixed environment.
  • System Implementation: Direct experience in driving accounting system implementations, conversions, and upgrades.
  • Integrity and Credibility: Highest level of professional integrity and personal credibility.
  • Team Collaboration: A team player who values others’ ideas, shares information, and keeps team members and partners informed. Works effectively with others to identify and resolve issues, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact successfully with all levels of management and a diverse workforce. Able to understand and add value in high-level management interactions.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Certification: Active or inactive Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
  • Experience: A minimum of 15 years in accounting and/or financial management, including at least 7 years in a managerial role.
  • Preferred Background: Experience in a publicly traded manufacturing company and with a Big 4 or global public accounting firm is highly desirable.
