Description

We’re looking for a strategic, influential, and technically capable leader to take ownership of Delt’s Technical Governance and Customer Architecture capability.

In this high-profile role, you will lead a team of Customer Architects, ensuring their work drives measurable service outcomes, innovation, and customer satisfaction. You will also steward Delt’s technical governance framework, ensuring it enables value-driven decision-making, reduces risk, and aligns with both customer and organisational objectives.

This role will suit someone with a proven track record in architecture and governance leadership, who can combine strategic vision with the ability to deliver practical, value-led solutions.

Technical Governance and Customer Architecture Lead

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading, mentoring, and developing the Customer Architect team to deliver innovation-led transformation and enhanced service value.
  • Owning and evolving Delt’s Technical Governance Framework to ensure processes, tools, and assurance mechanisms add value and mitigate risk.
  • Embedding architecture expertise into customer BAU and project delivery to shape roadmaps, enhance cyber posture, and enable long-term improvements.
  • Facilitating and chairing design and architecture reviews, ensuring technical integrity, compliance, and customer needs are effectively balanced.
  • Acting as an escalation point for complex architecture decisions, ensuring consistency and traceability across engagements.
  • Driving continuous improvement in governance processes and architecture operating models, with a focus on simplification, standardisation, and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborating with senior stakeholders to ensure governance aligns with service contracts, customer standards, and project priorities.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Proven experience leading architecture or governance functions in a complex IT environment.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, risk management, and technical governance.
  • A track record of delivering customer-facing architecture with measurable service outcomes.
  • Broad technical knowledge across cloud, infrastructure, cyber, applications, and architecture frameworks.
  • Excellent facilitation and influencing skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with TOGAF, ITIL, SAFe or similar; knowledge of CAF and DSPT is an advantage.
