Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Tech Engineering Delivery Manager to oversee, manage, and control the infrastructure technology within our organization, with a focus on Compute and Storage services. The ideal candidate will posses a strong background in project management, and taking large scale, complex project from initiation to closure. The Sr. Tech Engineering Delivery Manager will be responsible for monitoring and transforming the organization’s hardware and software assets, and executing and delivering on various infrastructure initiatives that align with business goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, configuration, and execution of new technology infrastructure initiatives and integrate within the existing technology landscape.
- Partner with our engineering team to build the next generation data center – a private cloud solution that provides Moody’s with a modern cloud-like experience
- Partner with business stakeholders to upgrade virtual machine operating systems to the latest versions (Redhat, Windows).
- Partner with our Finance function to track project financials.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress of infrastructure maintenance or enhancements projects against established milestones and deliverables.
- Coordinate resources, including internal team members, external vendors, and contractors, to ensure timely project completion.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and proactively address any technical problems that may arise during project execution
- Communicate deliverable status, updates, and key milestones to stakeholders, including senior management, team members, and other relevant parties.
- Ensure adherence to best practices, process, and methodologies while improving efficiency and adding new functionality to existing infrastructure systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, engineering, and security, to ensure seamless integration of new IT assets within the data centers with existing systems and processes.
- Manage budgets, including tracking expenses, forecasting costs, and providing regular financial reports to stakeholders. Implement financial control measures to enhance transparency of the IT landscape.
- Identify opportunities for improvement by gathering and analyzing usage data of infrastructure assets and by consulting systems architects, and managers within the organization.
- Build Tableau or PowerBI dashboards to effectively communicate project status to executive stakeholders.
Qualification & Requirements
Skills and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related field; PMP certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical delivery or project management, with a focus on technology infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure concepts, including servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
- Specific knowledge of technology currency upgrades for operating systems and hardware, and ensuring compliance is met with respect to vulnerability management.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as JIRA, Excel, PowerBI, or Tableau
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional project teams.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working in an agile environment and familiarity with agile project management methodologies is a plus.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A PMP certification or a similar certificate is preferred.
