Description

The Senior Manager of Technology Optimization will bring standardization and efficiency to Technology documentation, intake, procurement, and tool strategy. This role will be responsible for delivering critical Technology initiatives that will drive efficiencies across the BetMGM business landscape to support business objectives. The Senior Manager of Technology Optimization will be a catalyst for changes in ways of working by promoting collaboration, documentation, and communication with internal Technology teams and cross-functionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to the Technology Shared Services team by prioritizing and assigning IT initiatives and tasks, and providing support and guidance throughout initiatives
  • Serve as the acting department lead when the Director of Technology Strategy and Transformation is unavailable by attending meetings, providing updates to senior leadership, and managing team members, when needed
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for initiative roadblocks and/or risks
  • Work with the Director of Technology Strategy and Transformation to understand the strategic needs of the business and Technology department and incorporate them into the Technology Shared Services priorities
  • Review and finalize work products such as user guides, business communications, and process documents to ensure quality standards are adhered to
  • Manage relationships with key Technology vendors by ensuring contacts and agreements are up to date, optimizing pricing, and escalating billing inquiries
  • Optimize tool rollouts by developing and/or coordinating rollout communications and training material to relevant stakeholders
  • Maintain enterprise tools and Technology knowledge bases by meeting with stakeholders regularly to ensure tool configuration is continually aligned with business strategy
  • Provide direct line management to several functions by setting performance objectives and providing guidance and coaching to ensure set objectives are met
  • Leverage data to create KPIs and dashboards to increase business visibility into overall Technology department performance and IT project performances
  • Oversee the implementation of Adobe Workfront solutions to streamline business processes and increase transparency to management through enhanced reporting

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in business preferred, but not required
  • 5+ years of experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in an IT Procurement function
  • Experience rolling out a large-scale Workfront solution is highly preferred
  • A proven track record of analyzing business processes to identify areas of improvement and experience driving strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
  • Ability to inspire via superior communication & interpersonal skills are required, experience communicating and interacting with executive teams is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver within provided timelines by scoping initiatives and developing and maintaining a comprehensive project schedule
  • Proven leadership experience, especially in building, leading, and motivating mid-size teams
  • Expertise and demonstrated success in resource optimization and reporting
  • Experience rolling out enhancements to enterprise tools that promote workflow efficiencies
  • Ability to successfully work across cultures and locations, driving team cohesion and effectiveness
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully partner with a wide range of stakeholders including vendors, regulators, partners, and third parties
  • Experience using tools such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Service Now, Trello, etc. to optimize team efficiency
  • Experience working alongside global stakeholders
  • Experience in gaming, hospitality, retail, or similar industry preferred
  • PMP certification is desired, but not required
