Description

The Senior Manager, G/L Shared Services is a key contributor within the Enterprise Controllership team, responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, the month-end close process, and general ledger activities performed by shared services. This role will take on leadership of accounting operations which requires indirectly managing both onshore and offshore teams, with accountability for process excellence, audit readiness, and cross-functional collaboration with FP&A, Tax, and Technical Accounting. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in US GAAP, attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities

General Ledger & Close Support

  • Support the monthly financial close process, including the coordination of opening and closing of the general ledger and subledger activity groups
  • Participate in monthly close calls and maintain a consistent close cadence
  • Contribute to the standardization of central G/L activities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the consolidation process

Global Team Leadership & Shared Services Oversight

  • Indirectly support the Global Delivery Center accounting team
  • Lead shared services general ledger activities, partnering with the India-based team on execution and quality review
  • Act as a liaison between corporate and shared services teams to drive clarity, ownership, and accountability in month-end responsibilities
  • Support external audits and ensure compliance with SOX and internal controls related to shared service activities
  • Drive accountability for accuracy and strong performance for accounting operations

Reconciliation & Controls

  • Review and approve account reconciliations in accordance with internal controls and close timelines
  • Ensure timely completion, quality documentation, and risk-based review of reconciliations
  • Promote standardization through SOPs for journal entries, reconciliation processes, and review workflows
  • Find and drive opportunities for operational efficiencies and process improvement

Reporting & Communication

  • Own the preparation and distribution of the internal financial reporting package, ensuring stakeholders receive timely, accurate, and insightful data
  • Partner with FP&A, technical accounting, and business leaders to deliver data-driven insights and support financial planning

Qualification & Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant accounting and finance experience, ideally in a multi-entity environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s degree preferred
  • Certified Public Accounting license required
  • Experience in large corporations or working with enterprise-level clients
  • Proficiency in accounting software, with experience in Blackline and Workday preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, with exceptional Excel skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and analyze significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information in an understandable manner.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent organization and project management skills with attention to detail, including the ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments concurrently and to work under pressure of deadlines
