Description

The AI Engineering and Enablement organization delivers OpenText’s foundational AI capabilities and shared services to accelerate GenAI adoption across the enterprise. In addition to building scalable AI toolkits and operational infrastructure, the team defines technical patterns and works with product and architecture leaders to promote aligned, secure, and effective AI development.

You will lead a team of data scientists supporting a broad range of AI engineering initiatives. This team plays a critical role in the validation, experimentation, and optimization of GenAI models and applications, working closely with teams delivering shared AI infrastructure, developer tools, and runtime orchestration.

Sr. Manager, AI & Data Science

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading applied data science teams working on LLM evaluation, prompt optimization, and retrieval effectiveness.
  • Designing and guiding experiments that improve model performance and integration reliability.
  • Collaborating with engineering and product teams to support platform delivery with data insights and validation frameworks.
  • Applying rigorous data science practices to both GenAI and traditional predictive models.

Qualification & Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in data science, applied AI, or ML engineering roles.
  • Strong understanding of GenAI model operations, including RAG pipelines, embedding performance, and inference tuning.
  • Proven experience designing evaluation frameworks and experiments for production use cases.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and translate data insights into engineering decisions.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
