Description
As a Sr Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank, you will support all Global Banking businesses and operations powered by a full suite of technology platforms that deliver document management, integration, and workflow solutions, and cutting-edge AI/GenAI capabilities.
Working as an Architect, your passion for technology and thirst for innovation will help shape the future of global digital commerce, now and for years to come. Every day, you’ll bring critical day-to-day leadership and thinking to the table, working with teams of architects, aligning cross-functional projects, ensuring that they are within reason, fiscally and technically. You will collaborate with internal teams and business leaders alike, creating strategically sound Target State Architectures. You will have a major say in budgeting, hiring, mentoring, setting priorities and fostering a client-centric environment where everyone learns and grows. At the end of the day, your work will have tremendous and positive impact, whether it is in-house, in collaboration with technologists across JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s global technology community or in partnership with some of the most important tech firms in the world.
Key Responsibilities
- Define current, proximal and target state architecture for the strategic applications at Chase, optimizing the business value from both Line of Business and Global Technologies products, delivering best-in-class solutions for today’s and tomorrow’s needs.
- Work with Product Owners, Technology leaders, Application Owners and Business Partners to advocate and incorporate the essential guidance of the Global Banking Architecture “Big Rules” while building solutions for our products.
- Ensure the application of expected practices, platforms, frameworks, and standards as their associated teams build solutions and apply Domain driven Design to identify loosely coupled autonomous applications within the application portfolio
- Achieving smart reuse through shared services by identifying and promoting reusable ‘business invariant or product invariant’ services rather than build overlapping capabilities
- Identify change within your specific area of responsibility and ensure the appropriate governance is applied such that system changes follow approved processes and are documented and approved accordingly
- Create architecture designs that provide technical blueprints for the development teams based on the business concepts, goals & objectives
- Build new innovative solutions using modern technology and cloud native design principles that solve business problems and drives business growth
- Develop multi-year architecture roadmap aligned to our business and technology strategy, drivers and priorities
- Build solid partnership with the Application Development teams, Product Owners, Architects and other key stakeholders
- Lead initiatives to integrate GenAI technologies into existing systems to enhance decision-making, automation, and customer experience.
Qualification & Requirements
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification in software architecture concepts with 5+ years of applied experience in architectural design

- Hands on experience with one of the public clouds: AWS, Azure or GCP
- Experience with Terraform, Docker and Kubernetes technologies
- Must have a track record of architecting, building and deploying mission critical, highly distributed, AI applications and solutions
- Strategic thinking and passion for business strategy and business processes
