Description

We are currently looking for experienced Site Finance Director to join our Consumer Healthcare Manufacturing Site based in Ulu Kelang (Ampang). This role will mainly be responsible for full spectrum of financial leadership, partnering and controlling services to support the achievement of HALEON’s overall business objectives and longer-term competitive advantage from a Kuala Lumpur Manufacturing site & BU perspective.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provision of financial strategy & direction to assist the manufacturing site management in delivering business goals.
  • Planning & controlling performance variances and recommend remedial actions to be taken ensuring achievement of manufacturing site’s financial targets.
  • Strict adherence by all levels and consistent full compliance to corporate governance and internal control requirements.
  • Business & financial risk mitigation through on going best practices in risk management
  • Achievement of continuous improvement targets to improve the manufacturing site’s competitive advantage through VE, continuous improvement program and change management
  • Overall stewardship of Legal Entity Financials – Balance, Statutory P&L, Cashflows Support the safety & quality agenda of the manufacturing site

Strategy & Direction

  • Provide senior financial advisory and counselling to Site Director.
  • Review and highlight performance variances and recommend remedial actions to be taken, ensuring achievement of the manufacturing site’s financial targets.
  • Develop and maintain analysis and control systems to ensure meaningful planning, forecasting and management of the manufacturing site’s financial operations.
  • Maintain ongoing knowledge of site, monitor external business environment and to work with senior management to offer assistance and support in the financial aspect of business opportunities.
  • Identify and execute cost saving opportunities to drive down cost and improve site competitiveness.

Planning & Controlling

  • Plan, organize and review annual budgeting and forecasting activities to ensure successful and high-quality completion as per corporate expectation and timetable.
  • Manage the preparation of key financial reporting to corporate system i.e., ICT, Bison and Siera ensuring on time and accurate submission.
  • Develop and review site manufactured products standard costing and agree transfer prices to ensure alignment of group’s objective.
  • Provide cost analysis and financial advice relating to new products development for pricing decision and product profitability maximization.
  • Provide financial evaluation to Capital Investment proposals to ensure maximum return, financial viability, and conformation to both corporate process and approval guidelines.
  • Interpret and ensure consistent compliance with integrity of local statutory, corporate, ICFW Internal Controls and GAAP requirements
  • Manage and supervise the accurate and up-to-date recording of inventories, oversee periodic physical stock count to safeguard long term security of assets and the accurate valuation of inventories.
  • Manage and control working capital i.e., debtors, creditors and stocks level to ensure optimum cash flow.

Risk Management & Corporate Governance

  • Continuously review and improve internal control procedures to ensure strict adherence by all levels and consistent full compliance to corporate governance and internal/external audit requirements.
  • Lead and manage risk-mapping process to ensure business risks are identified and appropriate measures are implemented to reduce the risk exposure to an adequate level.
  • Manage the process of developing and setting the site’s business continuity plan to ensure continuity of critical business operation in the event of crisis.
  • Develop and implement the crisis management plan in accordance with corporate policy.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Devise strategy for improvement opportunities, and lead the identification of improvement projects, scheduling these into an overall site improvement program.
  • Create detailed plan listing prioritized utilization of all site resources
  • Ensure Site leadership is fully aligned to deliver business improvement
  • Trace and monitor the OE functional savings through process simplification and standardization.

People Development and Customer Service

  • Lead and manage finance team to deliver high quality and timely output to internal and external customers
  • Coach and guide finance team members to realize their maximum potential and to attain functional excellence.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Qualified accountant with ACCA, CIMA, AICPA, ICAEW or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Dynamic, team player and goal driven
  • Minimum 12-15 years of experience within the Finance function; Of which, a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in manufacturing + supply chain environment
  • At least 5 years within a senior management/leadership role
