Description

Fitch Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Shared Services Technology Lead to be based in our Chicago or New York office. This leadership role is crucial in aligning our engineering and quality assurance capabilities with the product and business objectives outlined by product owners under the Shared Services Technology Lead. The successful candidate will oversee squads of engineers and QA professionals, driving the efficient delivery of quality software solutions across Fitch Group, with a focus on services like Authentication, Add-Ins, APIs, Search, Feeds, and E-commerce.

Shared Services Technology Lead

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage squads of engineers and QA professionals, ensuring the efficient and high-quality delivery of technology services across the organization, particularly in areas such as Authentication, Add-Ins, APIs, Search, Feeds, and E-commerce.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Shared Technology Services and product owners to align engineering efforts with business priorities and product backlogs.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in software development, quality assurance, and Agile methodologies to enhance team productivity and project outcomes.
  • Analyze current and future technology capabilities to identify gaps and areas for improvement, recommending solutions to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain a strong focus on continuous improvement, fostering a culture of learning and innovation within the technology services teams.
  • Collaborate with the Emerging Technology Group to identify opportunities for AI integration within shared technology services, ensuring smooth adoption of AI capabilities developed by the specialized team.
  • Stay informed about AI advancements and work closely with the Emerging Technology Group to align shared services with the company’s AI strategy.

Qualification & Requirements

You May Be a Good Fit If

  • Over ten years of experience in software engineering or technology services, with at least seven years in a managerial role overseeing engineering and QA teams.
  • Strong expertise in Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, software quality assurance, and modern software engineering tools and frameworks, particularly related to services like Authentication, Add-Ins, APIs, Search, Feeds, Notifications and commercial/regulatory websites.
  • Excellent leadership, planning, and organizational skills, with a proven ability to align technology services with business objectives and deliver quality solutions efficiently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with product owners, business executives, and technical teams to drive technology initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of how AI-driven technologies can be integrated into software development processes, including awareness of AI-enhanced engineering productivity and AI-Powered DevOps.
