Shared Services Manager, Data Solutions

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as the head of shared services within the Chief Data Office of this stable, successful, and growing organization, reporting to the head of the data office;
  • Managing and oversight of data architecture, data governance, data/cloud operations, production support, quality assurance, product management, and all data operations functions that are part of the data office and organization;
  • Developing and implementing strategic plans for data architecture, ensuring alignment with organizational goals;
  • Leading production support and quality assurance teams to maintain high standards of data integrity and reliability;
  • Oversight of data product management to ensure the delivery of data solutions that meet business needs;
  • Leading data operational excellence including ensuring robust data architecture frameworks are in place to support enterprise-wide data initiatives;
  • Managing horizontal functions that support the data organization, fostering collaboration across teams;
  • Implementing ‘best practices’ in data management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness and leading transformation and innovation on a continuous basis;
  • Driving innovation in data services by leveraging Google Cloud technologies (GCP) while supporting the organization’s transformation efforts by integrating new technologies and methodologies into existing frameworks;
  • leading collaboration and communication efforts throughout the IT enterprise environment and executive stakeholder community, working closely with the SVP of IT in aligning data strategies with business objectives;
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the department and company.

Qualification & Requirements

  • A verifiable undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar is highly preferred is highly preferred.
  • Google GCP certification is highly preferred.
  • Strong, current/recent skill, experience and scope working as a head of shared services specifically in the data/cloud organization is required with direct skill and experience in Google GCP. This requirement is an absolute must.
  • Must have 8 years of specific skill, experience, and scope in data and analytics with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the data/cloud organization.
  • Must have strong, current/recent skill, experience, and scope in leading data organizations with a focus on data architecture, data production support, data quality assurance, and data product management.
  • Must have direct strong experience specifically with Google GCP as well as expertise in cloud fundamentals and digital transformation. Candidates without specific Google GCP experience will not be considered for this role.
  • Must have strong skill, experience, and scope in managing cross-functional teams, engaging with executive-level stakeholders with a strong ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment undergoing significant transformation.
  • Must have strong strategic and tactical thinking abilities, excellent diplomacy and interpersonal and team management skills.
  • Must have a deep understanding of data architecture, data governance, data quality, and data management principles.
  • Must have advanced technical data architecture, Google cloud proficiency, production support, quality assurance, and product management skills.
  • Must have strong skill and experience in process optimization, risk management, performance management and metrics, governance, and ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, including senior executive leadership.
