Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the accounts payable, corporate card and banking sectors of the shared services department.
- Prepare and present financial reports and statements.
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals.
- Implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal financial regulations.
- Participate in strategic planning and budgeting processes.
- Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes.
Qualification & Requirements
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the public sector.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with direct experience in a leadership/management role.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and standards.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A commitment to maintaining high ethical standards.
