Shared Services Manager

Key Responsibilities

Headcount Management & People Allocation:

• Oversee headcount planning, forecasting, and reporting for the company’s shared services functions.
• Partner with HR and department leaders to ensure headcount allocation is aligned with business needs and financial objectives.
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations related to people-related costs, including salary, benefits, and bonuses.

G&A & Cost Allocation:

• Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of G&A expenses across the organization.
• Ensure accurate and efficient allocation of costs across departments, aligning with business priorities and cost control initiatives.
• Develop and maintain cost allocation models that reflect the company’s business operations and structure.

Strategic Financial Planning:

• Work closely with the senior leadership team to develop financial strategies that drive sustainable growth and profitability.
• Lead the development of financial forecasts and annual budgets for shared services functions
• Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to improve operational efficiency and optimize financial performance.

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

• Prepare and present regular financial reports and dashboards for key stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and variances to budget.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas of concern within shared services.
• Support senior management with ad-hoc financial analysis and decision support. Cross-functional Collaboration:
• Partner with department heads across Finance, HR, IT, and other functions to ensure alignment of financial strategies with business objectives.
• Drive process improvements related to financial planning, budgeting, and reporting within shared services.

Qualification & Requirements

• 8+ years of experience, working in Finance roles, with a focus on FP&A, cost allocation and shared services management
• Strong understanding of G&A expenses, headcount management, and people allocation.
• Proven experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting in a private equity-backed environment.
• BS in Accounting or Finance with strong analytical skills
• Proven ability to communicate with varying levels of management, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with various teams across all functions
• Experience with establishing, maintaining, and improving processes and optimization
• Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling skills a big plus), SQL, and Tableau
• Proficiency with ERP systems
• Solid understanding of HR systems and processes
• Excellent proficiency in Oracle (WF, Planning, FCCS)
• Ability to maintain multiple workstreams and prioritize effectively
• Team player willing to collaborate and take on new tasks
