Description
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Shared Services Manager to join their team! This is an incredible opportunity for an experienced professional to lead a dynamic shared services department and make a meaningful impact. The department is in its early stages, allowing this person to drive process improvements and implement best practices. This role provides room for internal growth and long-term career progression within the organization. The successful candidate will oversee AP/AR functions, collaborate with various departments, and contribute to a thriving and innovative work environment. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) teams, including setting goals and conducting reviews.
- Oversee daily AP/AR operations, including vouchering, payments, billing, cash applications, and collections.
- Manage intercompany balances and collaborate with purchasing and receiving leaders on inventory and depreciation.
- Conduct AR aging analysis and distribute payables weekly, while ensuring compliance with deadlines and month-end close processes.
- Review and improve accounting processes to meet compliance standards and optimize efficiency.
- Collect and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for AP and AR processing.
- Ensure process, procedures, and work instructions are documented and maintained.
- Collaborate with the General Ledger team on balance sheet account reconciliations and IFRS compliance.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Participate in special projects and reporting requirements as needed.
Qualification & Requirements
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum seven years of experience in accounting, with a focus on managing AP and AR teams.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (experience with SAP and Siteline preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
- Manufacturing experience is required.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- CPA certification or advanced education.
- Familiarity with foreign currency and sales tax.
- Experience in process improvement initiatives within accounting functions.
