Description

The Sr. Product Manager in the Compute platform owns the vision and strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for large, cross-functional developer tools like our internal CI/CD tools, Job orchestration & Automation, Infrastructure provisioning and K8S & Virtualisation platforms. Based on your expertise you will start with a subset of these products.

These are technical products thus the individual is expected to have technical proficiency. Understanding how apps are built, tested and run is important.

Senior Technical Product Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuous Discovery & Interviews – Have a constant dialog with consumers and other stake holders to define the roadmaps for products managed.
  • Ownership – Set & drive the vision & mission for owned products.
  • Result Driven – Plan, scope & deliver features while driving impact on key objectives and helping the teams solve roadblocks
  • Collaborative: Work with sister product and engineering teams to build and prioritize a cohesive product suite while focusing on developer experience and productivity
  • Lead products from inception to maturity and if required transformation to other products
  • Run Programs if and when Products are playing catchup

Qualification & Requirements

Years of Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in product management or other leadership roles
  • Experience in an agile software environment
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a large organization
  • Experience working closely with senior leadership.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • BE/MBA or a similar advanced degree.
  • A CS degree is a bonus.

Skill Set Required

Primary Skills (must have)

  • Communication & Storytelling – Must be able to articulate what & why of the features bring built. In addition, keep internal documentation around all the products up to date
  • Wireframing and basic design sense
  • Understand Product Led Growth & Experimentation
  • Prioritization post gathering signals by talking to consumers and stakeholders
  • Groom & manage a backlog as a planning and visibility process.
  • Be able to support the product owned and use those opportunities to understand user needs

Secondary Skills (desired)

  • Bonus – Experience with CI/CD tools – Github, Gitlab, Jenkins etc.
  • Bonus – Experience with Infrastructure Tools – K8S, Vmware etc.
  • Bonus – Experience with Figma, Sketch
  • Bonus – Experience with A/B testing tools
  • Bonus – Experience with IDP (Portals or Platforms)
  • Bonus – Experience with Cloud providers and their products (Aws, GCP etc.)
