Description
The Manager Technical Accounting role is a valued and trusted partner to senior stakeholders within Finance, the LG Shared Service Centre (SSC), Business Control and wider business units to ensure accounting outputs from LG SSC accurately reflects commercial agreements, identifying and proactively managing risks and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising on complex non-routine transactions – such as contract reviews, material capex transactions, new promotions
- Preparing the statutory financial statements according to Swiss Code of Obligations (SCO) and reconciliation from IFRS to local GAAP
- Managing and supporting the implementation of new accounting standards and reporting initiatives
- Driving process changes and improvements throughout the accounting and reporting function
- Acting as Finance SPOC for various projects and implementations (e.g. Software Replacement, Set-Up of new legal entity, new product offerings, change requests)
- Cooperating and managing external and internal auditors
Qualification & Requirements
- Completed university or technical college studies with a focus on accounting or similar (finance, economics)
- Swiss CPA
- Several years of practical experience in financial group accounting of a national/international group, in auditing or in a similar position
- Profound knowledge in IFRS and/or US-GAAP reporting standards
- Profound knowledge SAP / SAP4Hana
- Proactive & solution oriented
- Structured & accurate way of working
- Fluent in written and spoken English & German
