Key Responsibilities

  • Oversight of the end-to-end fortnightly processing of payroll for all CHL employees
  • Act as the escalation point to support resolving payroll errors and/or concerns
  • Overseeing Single Touch Payroll, month and year end processes
  • Managing the end of year processes including reconciliations and taxation update
  • Creating reports, developing and updating policies and procedures
  • Supporting a broad range of internal and external stakeholders including auditors
  • Maintaining knowledge of all related legislations and updates
  • Managing Dayforce Human Resources Information System (HRIS), ensuring data integrity and accurate management of data, processes and workflows
  • Providing effective leadership, coaching, and support to direct reports and teams
  • Managing the integrity of employee information within Dayforce HRIS
  • Managing security protocols within Dayforce
  • Managing the governance of forms, workflows, and notifications
  • Lead new payroll system project working closely with project implementation partners

Qualification & Requirements

The preferred candidate will be highly motivated with a genuine commitment to fostering collaboration within a dynamic work environment, have high attention to detail and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in addition to:

  • Extensive demonstrated hands-on experience and expertise in a similar position
  • Demonstrated background as a Payroll Manager within a large organisation
  • Knowledge and/or experience within Not for Profit and NFP Salary Packaging
  • Thorough knowledge of payroll legislative requirements & Portable Long Service Leave
  • Demonstrated experience using Payroll, HRIS and Time in Attendance systems – ichris/ Dayforce/Humanforce preferred
  • Extensive demonstrated people management and leadership experience
  • Ability to manage own workload and competing priorities in a calm and professional manner
  • Ability to interpret multiple awards and Catholic Healthcare’s Enterprise Agreements
  • High levels of professional integrity in managing sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Willingness to obtain Police Check
