Description

The Senior Product Manager leads a product initiative within Takeda to promote a unified vision. The Product Manager is primarily focused on the customer, the strategic product roadmap, and go to market strategy.

Senior Product Owner

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Management

  • Understand GMSGQ Tier 5 business goals and Data, Digital, & Technology (DD&T) strategies, existing DD&T capabilities, enterprise DD&T strategy, and available DD&T products and/or services.
  • Understand GMSGQ Tier 3 to Tier 5 end-user needs and behaviors.
  • Understand, anticipate, and influence GMSGQ demand for DD&T products and services.
  • Proactively engage and onboard potential customers of existing products.

Product Strategy & Planning

  • Lead generation, capture, and screening of GMSGQ Tier 3 and 4 innovation ideas.
  • Guide multiple product teams on definition of what GMSGQ enhancements, or new products, to offer customers based on their goals, needs, and strategies.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Communicate how the product is meeting the business priorities and goals of the organizations (business, technology, and marketing).
  • Work with partners in GMSGQ on OpU Level, technology, data, and ecosystem to accomplish product goals.
  • Identify high priority / critical issues and provide solutions to GMSGQ Tier4 needs.

Product Delivery

  • Provide recommendations on features needed for the product for future stages of development.
  • Develop product vision and strategy and synchronize it with GMSGQ Tier 5 and Tier 4 Strategic Themes and Must Wins, product manager, and product owners of teams responsible for adjacent products.
  • Lead 2-3 product teams through the process of defining product requirements ensuring they are complete, integral, consistent, and the sole source of requirements for the team.
  • Prioritize features for the product roadmap with development teams and ensure successful product releases.
  • Scope the MVP considering existing resource constraints and sustained development of the product.
  • Oversee initiation and execution of continuous improvement efforts.
  • Define product offering in terms of benefits, features, and customer journeys.
  • Ensure scalability of products
  • Innovate the existing product portfolio.

Monitoring and Reporting

  • Build a backlog of user stories, prioritize items to achieve business goals and continuously update together with the team.
  • Make sure the team correctly understands the requirements.
  • Work with the scrum master, engineering manager, and design leads to align timelines, dependencies, and scope.
  • Participate in the planning sprint to reaffirm priorities and confirm requirements.
  • Interact with other teams and units as part of synchronization ceremonies to implement cross-team tasks.
  • Support the team in collecting ideas and setting priorities for prototyping and development.
  • Develop a strategic customer engagement plan for the product and work with GMSGQ Business Owners and strategic partners across the organization to drive execution.
  • Work with GMSGQ Business Owners and GDD&T and DD&T teams to prepare for customer launch and readiness.
  • Introduce OKRs to make product teams performance visible to senior leadership.

Product Management

  • Has ownership of the product strategy, product design, product development and product launch.
  • Accountable for holistic product vision, delivery, and value realization across products.
  • Set product strategy and plans consistent with corporate priorities and sets vision and direction for the team.
  • Define vision that reflects customer and business needs, balancing long term, overall solution direction and short-term Agile release train (ART) vision.
  • Confirm product teams comply with GDD&T architecture standards.
  • Own the vision, marketing, and ROI for a particular product.
  • Interface with customers and be accountable to define the requirements and scope of products to be built.

Product Delivery

  • Be an influencer for the organization and the company.
  • Demonstrate ability to attract talent from inside and outside of the company.
  • Act as content authority over features and their associated acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in planning, system demos, and the inspect and adapt workshop for their Agile release train.
  • Manage the expectations of business owners and other stakeholders.

Education / Experience:
