Description

We are seeking an experienced and creative Senior Manager, Social Media & Digital Marketing to join our newly formed Integrated Marketing team within the Marketing & Business Development function. The Integrated Marketing team plays a central role in delivering a modern, brand-led marketing strategy aimed at raising the profile of the Firm and supporting its growth ambitions. Under the leadership of a new Chief Marketing Officer, the wider Marketing & BD function at White & Case values team members who bring a broad range of experience and expertise, both from within and outside the legal industry. The team’s collective objectives are to support the Firm’s business goals, promote its global brand, and create a cohesive and compelling narrative that resonates with clients, prospects, and employees alike.

This role offers a unique opportunity to help shape the digital voice and presence of a globally respected law firm. The individual will help lead the evolution of our social media strategy across all audiences; amplify the digital profiles of key Firm executives; and play a pivotal role in optimizing the user journey across our website and digital channels.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media & Executive Communications

  • Shape and evolve White & Case’s global social media strategy across corporate and leadership channels to support visibility, engagement, and business objectives.
  • Identify robust audience segments including clients, prospects, recruits, and other influencers of legal buying decisions and reputation
  • Develop social-first campaigns that support storytelling at both the brand-level and practice-
    level (i.e. M&A, debt finance, litigation, etc.)
  • Leverage social media best practices and trends to help drive modernization and innovation.
  • Partner cross-functionally to manage and grow the social media presence of select leaders, assisting with copywriting, content development, and performance metrics.
  • Educate internal stakeholders on best-in-class social media use, providing guidance and recommendations rooted in data.
  • Optimize management and effectiveness of Employee Advocacy program as a channel for building client relationships and bolstering the Firm’s reputation.
  • Explore and expand recruitment marketing efforts through new and existing platforms (i.e. Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Reddit, etc.)
  • Monitor platform KPIs, track performance trends, and deliver insights and optimizations aligned to business goals.
  • Utilize tools such as Hootsuite, TalkWalker, and/or Canva to improve campaign workflow, monitor conversation, scale creative, and boost efficiency.

Digital Marketing

  • Partner with cross-functional team to shape the strategy and content delivery of the Firm’s website to ensure a user-friendly and impactful online presence for clients and other
    audiences.
  • Implement a data-driven digital strategy to increase qualified leads from owned and paid channels, passed to business development teams.
  • Advance the Firm’s SEO program and digital funnel performance to improve visibility and conversion rates.
  • Stay ahead of trends in digital innovation, user behavior, and legal/professional services marketing.
  • Support global recruitment marketing strategies for entry-level and lateral hires, and business services professionals across digital properties.

Location and Reporting

  • This role is based in our New York office.
  • This role reports to the Director, Integrated Marketing.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field; MA, JD, or MBA a plus
  • At least seven (7) years of professional experience in digital marketing and social media strategy (B2B/professional services preferred)
  • Fluency in institutional audiences of importance, ranging from clients, recruits, media and other stakeholders
  • Proven success developing integrated marketing campaigns that drive business results and brand equity
  • Deep knowledge of global social platforms, trends, and audience behaviors – across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, X/Twitter, Reddit and emerging platforms
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a strong editorial sense and attention to tone
  • High attention to detail, with a strategic mindset and collaborative spirit
