Description
The Senior Manager, Sales Operations, is a strategic role responsible for optimizing sales processes, implementing sales technologies, and ensuring the sales team operates efficiently to support business growth and customer satisfaction. They play a pivotal role in aligning sales strategies with business objectives and sales processes, data analysis, and technology tools to support sales goals. By analyzing sales data, they identify trends, forecasted sales, and implement strategies to improve sales performance. They work closely with various departments in a shared services environment to ensure seamless operations in sales, logistics, and distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Operations Support, Customer Service, New customer onboarding
- Track all incoming purchase orders and assign internal designators for tracking (SR#s)
- Process and keep POs up to date to ensure relevant data is available to accounting and sales teams
- QC and maintain order fulfillment forms with the most up to date information available to ensure accurate logistics coordination
- Drive internal coordination and order fulfillment by conveying information to multiple teams including warehouse, accounting, production, and sales
- Track sales metrics/produce reports forecasting revenue and enabling strategic decision making for corporate leadership
- Build shipping schedule to account for customer needs, production capacity, and warehouse capacity while maintaining a smooth operations tempo
- Attend all meetings where commercial department interests need to be represented
- Respond to customer product support inquiries
- Gather and note customer feedback for improvement of products, processes, and operations planning
- Initial process and documentation of all warranty claims
- Monitor, log and respond to customer inquires
- Receive sales telephone calls, log and forward to proper parties
- Data Entry in multiple platforms
- Provide support to Commercial Team activities as needed
- Support marketing activities
- Preparing and packaging small shipments
- Inventory tracking of marketing collateral
- Host internal operations and planning meeting
Qualification & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Prior experience in sales operations, business analysis, or sales support management • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines • Excellent interpersonal skills for cross-functional and various client settings
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Previous experience using CRM software preferred
- Must have strong written and interpersonal skills
- Problem solving and critical/creative thinking skills are necessary
- Strong mathematical skills
- Ability to adjust, adapt, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced dynamic atmosphere
- Must be able to directly interface with a wide variety of individuals, companies, and vendors to create, maintain and solidify strong relationships
- Travel less than 10% This is an in-office position, core working hours are 8:00 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, with limited after-hours attention when needed.
