Description
We are searching for a Senior Manager, Program Management to join our Value Stream Leadership (VSL) team located in Cedar Rapids, IA. The individual will be responsible for supporting Alternate Position Navigation and Timing (APNT) teams in all activities associated with the development, Test, Production, Deployment and Sustainment of existing and future projects and programs.
Emphasis is focused on supporting Development, Proposals, Production execution, Integrations, and Sustainment teams in a variety of activities such as: manage portions or entirety of program execution, financial reporting, customer interaction/action item reporting, material status, customer deliverable, risk and opportunities, and all levels of coordination with the core program team. This position leads activities across the Collins shared services business model and requires collaborative working relationships with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Development, Contracts, Supply Chain, Quality, and IPP&C (Finance) points of contact in various instances of onsite, hybrid, and remote environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinates the preparation of proposals, proposal negotiations, program plans, schedule, budgets, and contracts
- Prepares and presents program management and financial reviews
- Will develop knowledge of industry practices and standards and use of professional concepts. Applies functional or technical principles, theories, and concepts
- Receives minimal instruction on day-to-day work assignments. Plans schedules and arranges own activities to accomplishing objectives
- Networks with senior internal and customer personnel in own area of expertise on issues. Represents organization as a prime contact on key issues
Qualification & Requirements
You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
- Prior external customer support/interface experience required
We Prefer
- Knowledge of Collin’s APNT solutions and Core processes
- Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Prior Leadership experience and ability to lead IPTs through ambiguity and short deadlines is preferred
