Description
Have you successfully led external communications strategies that elevated a brand’s visibility across industries like healthcare, finance, or technology?
Can you build strong media relationships and craft compelling stories that position executives as thought leaders?
Conduent is seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Manager of PR & External Communications to lead external communication efforts for its Commercial business with some participation on the corporate side as well. This role will focus on increasing awareness of Conduent’s Commercial business lines, enhancing brand reputation, issues and crisis management, and supporting business objectives through proactive media outreach and public relations strategies. The ideal candidate is a strong writer and communicator with experience managing complex communications programs in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading external communications strategy for Conduent’s Commercial business, including industries such as customer experience, finance and accounting, healthcare, digital solutions, and human capital management
- Developing and executing PR and media outreach plans that align with corporate communication goals
- Managing issues and crisis communications in coordination with legal, business and IT teams
- Drafting press releases, media pitches, blog posts, and client communications
- Identifying and pursuing media opportunities while building and maintaining relationships with key journalists and outlets
- Positioning Conduent’s leadership team as industry thought leaders by securing speaking engagements and bylined content
- Responding to and managing reactive PR issues in coordination with legal and business teams
- Collaborating cross-functionally with internal communications, marketing, and digital teams to support larger initiatives
- Measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of external communication campaigns
Qualification & Requirements
- Hold a bachelor’s degree
- Bring 8+ years of public relations or communications experience; corporate and/or agency background welcome
- Demonstrate proven success in media relations, digital communications, and executive visibility programs
- Communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats
- Simplify complex topics for broad external audiences
- Apply knowledge of transportation, public sector, or technology-led services (preferred)
- Manage multiple projects independently and deliver measurable results
