Alzheimer’s WA is seeking a dynamic Senior Manager People and Capability to join our team. This key leadership role will provide strategic People & Capability and Employee Relations advice to support a fair and values-driven workplace in alignment with best practice and legislative requirements. Senior Manager People and Capability (AWA)

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies across capability, talent, and performance.
  • Lead workforce planning, recruitment support, onboarding, and development of individual training plans.
  • Drive policy review, development, and compliance with employment regulations.
  • Oversee performance management systems, including appraisals, job evaluations, and talent development.
  • Support the design and review of remuneration structures and employee benefits.
  • Implement learning and development frameworks and succession planning strategies.
  • Manage and enhance HRIS functionality and reporting, using data to inform decisions.
  • Coach managers to strengthen understanding of ER practices, including interpretation of employment policies, applicable awards, fair work legislation and enterprise agreements.
  • Assist in developing, refining, and communicating People and Capability policies to ensure alignment with best practice, aged care regulations, and Fair Work requirements.
  • Provide expert guidance on change management consultations, ensuring transparency and compliance in workforce transitions related to organisational growth and aged care service improvements.
  • Manage disciplinary issues, grievances and investigations with a fair and consistent approach, ensuring all resolutions align with organisational values, employment laws, and the rights of our employees.
  • Represent the organisation in tribunals, commissions and enterprise agreement negotiations.
  • Participate in organisational culture initiatives, ensuring workplace policies and ER strategies align with the company’s values and mission.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline.
  • Deep knowledge of employment legislation, enterprise agreements and award interpretation.
  • A strategic mindset and confidence working with senior stakeholders and external bodies.
  • 5+years of ER and P&C experience at a senior level
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills
  • Current WA Driver’s License.
  • Police Clearance
  • COVID-19 Vaccination (3 doses).
