Description
We are seeking skilled and highly motivated individuals to improve our operations team and to support all AV deployments in our markets. You will report into the Senior Manager Operations and enable the local markets through process standardization, data analyses and functional expertise.
As the Senior Manager Operational Excellence, you will define processes, provide strategic direction, monitor performance of our fleet and identify areas for efficiencies across all operational sites in the US and Canada. The ideal candidate will have a track record of significant achievements, tremendous drive, and a willingness to roll up their sleeves.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the centralization of operational processes and systems, creating a framework that supports all operational units across the organization.
- Develop and implement data infrastructure and analytics tools to enhance transparency in forecasting, reporting, and decision-making at all organizational levels.
- Empower the Senior Manager Operations by providing strategic support, resources, and guidance to ensure alignment and efficiency in operational initiatives.
- Collaborate with supporting functions (e.g., Finance, HR, Engineering) to design and optimize processes that enhance cross-departmental efficiency and communication.
- Standardize and streamline Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency, repeatability, and compliance across all operations.
- Establish scalable processes and frameworks that can be effectively implemented in new locations or business units, facilitating rapid and efficient expansion.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies, proposing solutions, and overseeing the implementation of process enhancements.
- Foster a culture of efficiency, accountability, and innovation within the central operations team and across the organization.
Qualification & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business Administration, Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of experience in central or shared services operations management within a medium to large organization.
- Proven track record in centralizing operational functions and implementing standardized processes across multiple departments or locations.
- Extensive experience with data analytics, forecasting, and building data-driven operational strategies.
- Strong background in collaborating with various supporting functions, enhancing overall organizational efficiency.
- Experience in the transportation, logistics, or related industry with a focus on centralized operations and scalability.
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex operational strategies to diverse audiences, including executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing central operations teams, fostering professional growth and operational excellence.
- Proficiency with advanced data analysis tools and software, facilitating informed decision-making and transparency.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically, navigating between high-level planning and detailed implementation.
- Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments, with a focus on establishing scalable and repeatable operational processes.
