Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager of Payables-Shared Services to lead and optimize our client’s global PTP operations. This critical role is responsible for the end-to-end PTP process, driving efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a proven track record of managing teams, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and leveraging technology to streamline processes.

Senior Manager of Payables-Shared Services

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the end-to-end PTP process, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and standardization globally
  • Identify and implement process improvements, including automation (RPA, AI), simplification, and best practices
  • Benchmark PTP performance and drive measurable enhancements
  • Optimize processes across internal teams and the BPO provider
  • Oversee core PTP functions: invoice processing, T&E, inquiries, exceptions, payments, travel, P-Cards, reporting, and analytics
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulations (e.g., SOX), and company policies
  • Maintain and update global PTP policies and procedures
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of AP professionals
  • Manage the BPO provider relationship, ensuring performance and adherence to SLAs
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation
  • Partner with HR on talent acquisition and development
  • Collaborate with Procurement, IT, Finance, and other teams to align PTP with business objectives
  • Provide input on global Procurement and T&E policies
  • Partner with IT on PTP-related ERP enhancements
  • Monitor and evaluate BPO performance, identifying improvement opportunities

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related field
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in Procure-to-Pay operations within a medium to large corporate setting
  • 5+ years of management experience with direct team oversight, including coaching and mentoring staff
  • In-depth expertise in Procure-to-Pay best practices and experience managing processes in a BPO environment
  • Strong knowledge of SAP, Concur, and associated PTP automation tools (e.g., Ariba, Coupa)
  • Experience in process improvement, automation (RPA, AI), and driving operational efficiencies
  • CPG or experience in a global, matrixed manufacturing organization preferred
