Description
The Senior Manager of IS Project Management is responsible for developing and managing the Portfolio and Project Management Office (PPMO) delivery team with project and program management accountability for initiatives in the EBA pillar within the Information Service organization. This position will assist the Exec Director in defining and executing the PPMO strategy, policies and practices.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Manager of IS Project Management ensures that all programs and projects assigned are appropriately planned, managed and delivered to meet customer defined value metrics, regulatory mandates and ongoing business requirements. The Senior Manager provides leadership to maximize financial resources, quality, cost effectiveness and responsiveness by working closely with project sponsors, internal and external stakeholders and collaboration with technology, applications, operations, informatics, customer service and strategy business teams.
Qualification & Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration/Management, Computer Science, Commerce, Communications, Engineering, Healthcare Administration, Information Services, Science or a related IS or healthcare field or equivalent educ/experience
- 8 years Project management experience in an Information Services setting
- 8 years experience in leading complex project teams with members of multiple disciplines or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Demonstrated experience of successful delivery of large enterprise wide programs/projects
- Proven experience in the development of sound, intelligent strategies for strategic system implementation, integration methods, business process improvement, change management, product integration and risk management
- Experience standardizing complex and disparate processes
- Experience in process improvement methodology, change management, operational improvement in complex systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or other Project Management certification.
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.
- 3+ years resource management experience (hiring, performance management, coaching & developing, etc.).
- Experience applying a capability maturity model (using a structured approach) to an organization.
- Experience implementing and leading a PMO.
- Experience managing ERP system projects.
- Experience with multiple methodologies (waterfall, agile, scrum, etc.).
