Description

Dover Business Services (DBS) is seeking a talented leader to join our Transformation team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Transformation, the Intelligent Automation Senior Manager is responsible for overseeing the identification, analysis, and implementation of process automations at DBS. This role is responsible for partnering with and maintaining close working relationships with DBS leaders, the DBS Operations team, and Dover IT automation developers to drive process and technical optimizations which improve business results and services across all DBS functions and locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner primarily with DBS Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, and Purchase-to-Payables Operations teams to develop a pipeline of intelligent automation ideas, compile process steps and metrics, and engage with Dover IT to determine the feasibility of the automation solution.
  • Assess ideas funneled through the Process Improvement and Performance Excellence (PIPE) process to identify the level of automation and the resources required for each opportunity
  • Manage and oversee automation projects to ensure projects are transitioning through the various project life cycle phases
  • Identify and document automation solutions in partnership with IT technical teams to progress an idea into an operational process utilizing a Dover approved and supported solution
  • Evaluate potential automation solutions to determine whether the recommendations align with DBS strategic goals, have a strong business case, drive improved DBS processes, and have appropriate Dover security approval
  • Oversee direct reports to achieve a highly effective, efficient, and engaged team culture and ensure professional development of key resources
  • Promote integration best practices and standardizations which reduce costs and improve process value
  • Improve the intelligent automation governance model to allow for flexibility and scalability within the Dover automation environment
  • Maintain an inventory of automated systems within Dover, ensuring priority, work instructions, and technical documentation is compiled and maintained
  • Lead Steering Committee updates reporting upon the progress of automation solutioning timelines, idea aging metrics, and FTE savings
  • Participate in feasibility studies on automation technologies and solutions, including, but not limited to RPA tools, Power Apps/Power Automate, and macros to identify opportunities where additional technology could improve efficiency and productivity in business processes
  • Relationship building: Engage with key stakeholder groups within DBS as a key business partner

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Financial Information Systems
  • Proven experience in conceptualizing, designing, and guiding automation project implementations
  • Demonstrates strong understanding of finance concepts, accounting processes, and financial systems knowledge
  • Knowledge in automation technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence, Chatbots, and automation platforms (Automation Anywhere, Power Apps) preferred
  • PMP-trained or certified is a plus
  • Global shared service center experience
  • Strong organization skills, including managing multiple deliverables simultaneously and demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and accomplish results
  • Strong communication skills, including experience influencing others outside of own job area regarding processes and governance
  • Strong analytical skills: able to link financial processes to strategy, and use data and automation to drive decisions and improved processes
  • Self-directed, positive, strong work ethic, linked to execution, and department vision
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of customer focus
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products
