Senior Manager Financial Accounting

Key Responsibilities

BAU Reporting

• Lead the Financial Accounting team within the Shared Services Center (SSC), with a particular focus on Fixed Asset and Lease Accounting.
• Oversee the month-end close process for Financial Accounting, including the review of SSC accounting outputs.
• Manage the disclosures in Sunrise’s quarterly and annual reports, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS & Swiss Code of Obligations).

Financial Accounts Governance

• Review key project elements including CATS project hours, CATS rates, ProTime, Masterdata, and reconciliation reviews.
• Collaborate closely with business partners to ensure the accurate classification of CAPEX projects and leases, providing support for contract reviews.
• Review and assess key assumptions for Fixed Assets and Leases under IFRS (such as useful lives, interest rates, and end dates).

Process Improvement, Simplification & Digitalization

• Drive continuous improvements in reporting quality within the SAP Fixed Asset Register & RE-FX (Lease Tool).
• Work in close collaboration with the Finance Transformation Team to support the delivery of cross-functional, multi-disciplinary projects.

Qualification & Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in financial accounting, either in a national/international group, auditing, or a similar role.
• A completed university degree with a focus on Finance or Accounting.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS 16.
• Experience with SAP FI module and SAP S/4HANA.
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
