Description
In this role you will support the Head of Corporate Comms and CSR in developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies. Be accountable for delivering agreed-upon TBS and Communications strategies for a diverse range of projects, campaigns, and initiatives, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission, values, and overall objectives.

- Developing and leading a high performing team, creating an environment for success by setting direction and coaching them to succeed through inspiring conversations every day
- Promoting a culture of CI within their teams to drive operational improvements
- Accountable for achieving team’s objectives, stakeholder management and escalation management
- Provides inputs that impact the functions plans, policies, influences the budget and resources in their scope
- Support the Head of Corporate Comms and CSR in developing comprehensive communication strategies
- Execute and deliver strategies for various projects, campaigns and initiatives
- Lead internal communication efforts to ensure employees are informed, engaged, and aligned with the company’s vision and values
- Oversee internal communication channels such as the intranet and email newsletters
- Manage external communications, including media relations, public relations, and community engagement, to enhance the company’s public image
- Focus on key pillars: People/ Talent, the Work We Do, and Company Culture
- Develop and implement plans to effectively manage and mitigate risks during crises
- Oversee brand alignment and governance on an ongoing basis for your respective vertical, ensuring any and all content (written, visual, and spoken) is aligned to Tesco’s global brand style and driving brand compliance across the organization
- Build and maintain relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders, including media, community organizations, and industry influencers
- Partner with the reporting manager and agency partners to develop and execute impactful campaigns
- Oversee the entire process, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of all campaign requirements
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies
- Provide regular reports and insights to the Head of Brand on resource utilization and project bandwidth
- Lead and mentor a team of communication professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment
