Description

We are recruiting for the role of a Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting, based in Wood Dale, Illinois. This role involves a range of accounting and reporting functions and will require collaboration with various global accounting and finance teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide the completion and review of month-end close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and account analyses, ensuring quality and timeliness.
  • Handle payroll and benefits accounting, cash accounting, and fixed assets management.
  • Supervise monthly prepaid expenses and accruals, including third-party freight accruals.
  • Manage the Corporate Accounting Sr. Accountants and Shared Services team members.
  • Offer accounting support for FP& A, Treasury, and Shared Services (AP, AR, and Inventory) as required.
  • Collaborate with international accounting teams as necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to policies, internal controls, GAAP standards, and statutory requirements.
  • Prepare and review footnote data and other information for quarterly and annual financial reports.
  • Oversee external audit requests for the team.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Must possess strong skills in Month-end Close Activities and Month-end Journal Entries
  • Proficiency in Journal Entries and Account Reconciliation is essential
  • Should be capable of Financial Statement Preparation and Account Analysis
  • Expertise in handling Prepaid Expense and Accruals is required
  • Must be experienced in Multi-currency and International Accounting transactions
  • Should be able to undertake Financial Reporting and External Audit tasks
  • Proficiency in using NetSuite and Microsoft Excel software is a must
  • Experience with Oracle Smart View software is highly desirable
  • Must have a solid understanding of corporate accounting principles and regulations
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a multinational corporation
  • Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
