Description

We are seeking a highly skilled, technically proficient Project Manager to join our Shared Services unit on a long-term contract. This role is a backfill position for a Project Manager who will drive critical infrastructure projects, policy and procedure updates, and oversee compliance with cloud regulations and end-of-life transitions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on PM who can manage day-to-day project operations, communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams, and adapt to the needs of a global organization involved in mergers and acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management Methodology: Maintain and enforce PMO methodology, ensuring all processes and lifecycle stages are documented and compliant. Educate and consult with PMs on best practices.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Create, maintain, and audit project documentation, producing regular reports on project finances, resource allocation, and status for stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Raise risks proactively, ensuring project continuity and addressing potential obstacles.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate discussions with technical teams on design and implementation. Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, clearly translating project requirements and updates.
  • Infrastructure & Policy Changes: Oversee infrastructure projects and global policy changes, ensuring compliance with cloud regulations and managing end-of-life cycles for systems and processes.
  • Financial Oversight: Collaborate with Program and Portfolio Managers on budget submissions and reviews, producing high-quality weekly/monthly finance reports in partnership with the Finance team.
  • Tool Management: Manage and maintain PMO tools, including SharePoint/Livelink, and implement changes that drive value and efficiency for the PMO.
  • Strategic Alignment: Work with senior IT management to define timelines, support budget submissions, and review the portfolio with a strategic, big-picture perspective.

Key Projects:

  • Oversee global infrastructure projects, focusing on cloud regulations, mergers and acquisitions, and end-of-life project lifecycles.
  • Lead efforts on policy and procedural changes across shared services to ensure the organization is equipped for scalable growth and regulatory compliance.

Qualification & Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in a Project Manager role within a global organization, especially on infrastructure projects, mergers, and acquisitions.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical aptitude with the ability to engage in day-to-day operational project details.
  • Communication & Presentation Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex technical information in a clear, concise manner to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, adaptable, and a team player who can translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

Preferred Experience:

  • Background in managing Shared Services projects related to policy, cloud regulations, and end-of-life processes.
  • Experience with PMO toolsets, financial reporting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
