Description

We are looking for a Finance Operations Lead with experience in the hospitality industry to join the newly established Global Business Services (GBS) Centre in Manila. The role involves developing operational capability for selected internal clients within Jardines Group, and leading GBS-related initiatives from ideation to service delivery. This position is part of the Jardines transformation program, which has a broad global scope and change mandate. By collaborating with the GBS transformation team, Group and BU Finance Directors, the role offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of businesses and interaction with the senior management team of a large conglomerate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a long-term strategic roadmap with the direction of GBS and the priority capabilities and solutions for development, anticipating key trends, cross function opportunities, and vulnerabilities
  • Build up the GBS Finance organization in Manila, drive and monitor Finance operations including but not limited to Record to Report (RTR), Order to Cash (OTC), Procure to Pay (PTP), Income Audit, Treasury and taxation
  • Ensure Finance operation to deliver against the agreed KPIs and SLAs
  • Identify, implement and integrate analytics, automation and other digital capabilities into existing operations to more effectively support the business
  • Lead transformation and continuous improvement across GBS operations and processes, including developing and implementing a consistent process improvement methodology
  • Serve as the key interface between the GBS team and senior management team of business units served
  • Continuously improve customer satisfaction, ensuring customers’ current and future needs and requirements are understood and met/exceeded
  • Ensure regulatory, legal, compliance and business continuity are proactively managed and risks are mitigated
  • Manage and optimize the overall GBS cost of operations
  • Manage the performance of sub-contractors if any
  • Deliver against benefits defined in the business case(s)

Qualification & Requirements

  • 10+ years Captive Shared Services leadership experience
  • Experience setting up a finance service center and managing large teams (100+ team size)
  • Experience of transitioning the activities from local finance team to SSC or BPO centres
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality services to customers
  • Proven results-oriented operational skills, as evidenced by a track record of superior results in managing progressive GBS design and implementation initiatives achieving best in class operational excellence (as measured by SLAs, KPIs)
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to proactively manage a variety of projects and timelines; demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, and an ability to manage multiple assignments and deliverables
  • Change Leadership, as evidenced by a track record of transforming a business unit and aligning a services organization to drive for improvement in a new and challenging direction.
  • Relationship-building and cross-functional collaboration skills, as evidenced by a track record of having established strong, open internal and external partnerships
  • Relevant Finance qualifications and expert with IFRS standards, ACCA preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Ability to travel >30% of time worldwide
