Description

The Senior Finance Manager (BSM – Business Services Manager) is responsible for overseeing Accounting Services, acting as the main point of contact for escalations and ABS services within the market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee Day-to-Day Finance Services: Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting to ensure high-quality and timely processing for the market(s).
  • Provide Operational Leadership: Lead the finance operations team by setting objectives and fostering a culture of operational excellence.
  • Streamline Financial Processes: Identify and implement best practices to standardize procedures and improve efficiency, using performance metrics to monitor and enhance finance operations.
  • Collaborate with Key Stakeholders: Work with in-market finance, senior executives, and other stakeholders to understand needs, build relationships, and drive business alignment.
  • Manage Budget and Financial Forecasting: Oversee the annual budget, financial forecasting, and related projects to ensure financial stability for the market.
  • Ensure Compliance with Accounting Policies: Establish and enforce accounting policies in alignment with statutory requirements and group reporting, optimizing accounting processes in systems like SAP.
  • Optimize Workflows and Monitor SLAs: Continuously evaluate and optimize workflows to meet or exceed SLAs, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Support Talent Development: Promote a culture of growth by offering coaching, mentoring, and training to team members, supporting workforce planning and performance management.

Qualification & Requirements

Requirements:

  • BSc & /MA degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CMA) or local equivalents is mandatory
  • 5+ years of experience of managing teams / managing operations in Shared services is a must.
  • 10+ years of finance accounting experience
  • Demonstrated experience in driving process improvements.
  • Experience in change and transformation projects, including process reengineering, technology implementations, and cultural change initiatives
  • English and Hungarian on business professional level
  • Advanced IT/excel skills, prior SAP finance system tools such as blackline are a distinct or equivalent is an advantage

  • Leadership and Management: Strong leadership skills, guiding the finance operations team towards operational excellence through clear objectives, performance management, and mentorship.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strategic mindset for identifying optimization opportunities, standardizing procedures, and implementing best practices to enhance the efficiency of finance operations.
  • Communication and Relationship Building: Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, senior executives, and other departments, fostering strong relationships and alignment with business objectives.
  • Compliance and Controls: In-depth knowledge of accounting policies, tax requirements, and group reporting standards, with expertise in designing and maintaining effective process controls to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting.
  • Driving license: group B.
