Description

This role leads the technology and digitalisation agenda for Singtel’s Global Business Services (GBS) unit, driving IT enablement, process transformation, and digital innovation across different functions and services. The incumbent will be responsible for onboarding Singtel companies onto GBS platforms, improving productivity through digitalisation, and ensuring the adoption of cost-effective technologies that enhance service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Enablement and Onboarding

  • Lead IT enablement initiatives to onboard Singtel companies and associates onto GBS platforms.
  • Collaborate with business units to ensure seamless integration of systems and services for GBS work.
  • Ensure alignment with Singtel’s enterprise architecture and security standards.

Process Transformation and Digitalisation

  • Identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and digitalisation of work processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
  • Champion the use of appropriate advanced technologies to ensure that GBS stay relevant and operate efficiently.

Technology Strategy and Governance

  • Develop and maintain a technological roadmap aligned with GBS and Singtel Group objectives.
  • Establish governance frameworks to ensure compliance, scalability, and sustainability of digital initiatives.
  • Monitor KPIs and SLAs to track the impact of digitalisation efforts on service delivery.

Stakeholder Engagement and Change Management

  • Engage with internal stakeholders across Finance, HR, Legal, Procurement, and IT to align digital strategies.
  • Lead change management efforts to support adoption of new technologies and processes.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on progress, risks, and opportunities of transformation and digitalisation initiatives.

Talent and Capability Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing team with expertise in business transformation, digitalisation and IT operations.
  • Support upskilling initiatives to develop internal capabilities in emerging technologies

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, IT, or Engineering
  • At least 15 years of experience in shared services, operations, or corporate services with leadership responsibilities with a large corporation.
  • Minimum of 7 years in management role with a proven track record of leading large system implementation or complex transformation projects involving multi-functional stakeholders or across different geographies
  • Experience working in a matrixed operating model with exposure to stakeholder management across geographies and business units.
  • Strong understanding of technology and applications for enterprise-wide deployment.
  • Fully conversant on emerging trends and technologies and how these can be applied to transform end-to-end workflows or processes
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, with experience in cost management, budgeting, and business case development.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Strong people leadership and talent development capabilities, with a track record of building high performing, engaged teams.
  • Cultural sensitivity and adaptability to operate effectively in a diverse, cross-border environment.
  • Strategic mindset with operational discipline – able to balance day-to-day delivery with long-term transformation goals.
