Description
We are seeking an innovative and results-driven Senior Director to project manage strategic initiatives in a matrixed shared services environment. This role requires a unique blend of conventional project management expertise with the ability to translate high-level strategic concepts into actionable plans. The successful candidate will manage and deliver a diverse portfolio that includes new product and service rollouts, revamps of existing products and services, packaged software solution implementations, business transformation, and organizational change. Experience in managing Product Development, IT, and/or Operations projects and implementing enterprise resource management is a must. This dynamic leader will excel in cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Project Portfolio Management
- PM a diverse portfolio of projects, including product and service rollouts, packaged software solutions, and comprehensive business transformation and change initiatives.
- Manage end-to-end holistic project execution.
- Develop a rolling 12-month roadmap for all strategic projects.
- Track business benefits as they related to each project in the portfolio.
Strategic Implementation
- Translate strategic ideas and high-level business objectives into detailed, measurable project plans that can be executed.
- Hands on active project management for specific projects within the overall HMP portfolio of projects approximately 4-8 projects at a time.
Project Frameworks & Governance
- Develop and implement standardized project management frameworks and governance structures to ensure consistent and efficient project execution.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with established governance protocols and best practices across the organization.
- Tie project framework to Hive and incorporate it to day-to-day project management.
- Own and drive business reequipments gathering to clearly document needs to IT and other departments.
Leadership & Communication
- Engage and manage stakeholders at all levels, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., finance, marketing, design, IT) to drive strategic alignment and project success.
Change Management & Innovation
- Lead organizational change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and adoption of new strategies, processes or procedures.
- Develop creative solutions to overcome project challenges and continuously improve processes and outcomes.
Technical & Domain Expertise
- Utilize Hive project management software, data analytics tools, and collaboration platforms to optimize project execution and reporting.
- Leverage industry-specific knowledge to ensure that overall project approaches remain relevant and competitive.
Qualification & Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Mandatory PMP Certification: Proven expertise as validated by a PMP certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of project management experience in large product and service rollouts, product/service revamps, packaged software solutions, and business transformation initiatives in operations, IT, or a shared services organization.
- Additional certifications such as PRINCE2 or Agile are highly preferred.
- Hive Project Management Tool Experience: Preferred experience with the Hive project management tool, with 4+ years of practical usage.
- Project management experience in event/conference and/or agency environments is a plus.
- Enterprise Resource Management: Proven experience in implementing enterprise resource management solutions.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to translate strategic vision into operational success across all business functions.
