Description

Key Responsibilities
Strong financial leadership
- High sense of ownership, influence, and ability to execute across the entire organization, to ensure actions are closed timely and objectives are achieved.
- Effectively communicates: being clear, concise, candid, and pro-active, at the detailed and executive level (Manufacturing sites, Global Operations Leadership, Executive Leadership Team).
- Supports and synthesizes the analysis of operational and strategic decisions, including site transfers, site expansions, greenfield investments, productivity projects, Capex (capacity and capability expansion projects, ROI) and sites’ footprint strategy.
- Goal setting, performance management, coaching, and development of direct, indirect, and dotted line team members.
Develops Global Operations finance analytics
- Drives standard reviews and consolidation for Continuous improvement, Mix, and intercompany transactions.
- Supports large and complex, high impact due diligence and select integration efforts for acquisitions.
- Performs complex, higher impact decision making and analytic support (eg: overall manufacturing footprint).
- Responsible for cost accounting team and setting direction including approach, templates, and governance.
- Performs proactive ad hoc analytics to drive optimal global operational decisions.
Responsible for Global Operation finance tools and processes
- Drives continuous improvement in global operations finance processes, leveraging modern analytics tools, reporting (e.g. dashboards, continuous improvement tracking) and systems (Oracle ERP, CRM, Power BI, advanced Excel, Robotic Process Automation).
- Drives standardization and automation of Global Operations finance processes (e.g., budget, rolling forecast, weekly pacing, site analytics, reporting, data elements).
- Drives financial visibility and reporting standardization of sites’ productivity projects (positive and negative variances, alignment with the financial ledger).
- Global operations master data stewardship. Partners with Data & Analytics and Global Operations team to develop adequate processes to ensure that manufacturing data (e.g. scrap, inventory costing, manufacturing variances) are defined accurately.
- Collaborates with Data & Analytics team to develop new and improve existing Global Operations finance Power BI dashboards.
- Continuous improvement mindset to drive reduction in non-value-added processes.
Qualification & Requirements
Education
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics.
- MBA or advanced degree a plus, but not required.
Experience
- 7-10 years of related experience is required.
- Experience within a manufacturing company with multi-facility responsibility is a must.
- Experience within a lean manufacturing environment utilizing Lean Accounting a plus.
Specialized Knowledge
- Understanding of GAAP accounting.
Specialized Skills And Other
- Excellent data analysis skills, leveraging modern tools and concepts (Power BI/DAX, data models (dimensions/facts), advanced MS Excel – tables, power query/M, power pivot, advanced formulas), to facilitate development of commercial finance models. Working effectively with large sales datasets (retrieve, transform, report).
- Proficient knowledge and skill in ERP applications; Knowledge of Hyperion.
- Analytical thinking, modeling and forecast experience.
- Detailed analysis experience including comparisons to budget, forecast and prior year.
- Effective communication (clear and candid) and presentation skills.
- Ability to recognize trends and patterns in the business. Make recommendations for solutions, able to turn analytics into insights.
- Able to work effectively across functional and reporting lines in accomplishing responsibilities.
- Up to 10% travel may be required.
