Description

As the Senior Director, Global Business Services and Finance Transformation Leader, you will be responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction and innovation to Dentsply Sirona’s Finance organization, overseeing the Global Business Services team and Finance functional transformation. The Global Business Services team is a global shared services function responsible for managing financial and operational activities within record-to-report, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay and travel and entertainment expenses. This key leadership position provides operational oversight and establishes the strategic direction to support the business and key stakeholders in achieving operational objectives in accordance with service-level agreements. As a leader of Finance Transformation initiatives, this position also provides input on establishing global business processes and implementing the SAP S/4HANA that allow Dentsply Sirona to operate more efficiently and for establishing a performance-based culture within the Global Service Centers that drives towards continuous service improvement and cost reduction. A critical element of transformation also includes establishing a people management strategy, including balancing captive and outsourced resource model.

The Senior Director, Global Business Services and Finance Transformation Leader position reports to the VP, Chief Accounting Officer.

The Global Business Services team is a growing and evolving team that is expanding to meet the needs of the Company while operating with a continuous improvement mindset to leverage established and emerging technologies to operate in an efficiently and cost-effectively.

Senior Director, Global Business Services and Finance Transformation Leader

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and operational direction to the GBS organization by establishing a mission, priorities, policies and service level agreements that provide support to key stakeholders.
  • Develop delivery strategies and establish performance metrics to monitor and ensure the organization delivers on the objectives in accordance with the established operating model.
  • Develop and execute a multi-year roadmap for finance transformation and centralization with a focus on standardization, automation and process optimization.
  • Partner with IT and business leaders to deploy enabling technologies, particularly the execution of the global implementation of SAP S/4HANA, as well as established and emerging technologies, such as robotics process automation, artificial intelligence and data analytics that drive efficiency and transparency.
  • Establish and lead a Finance Transformation Office to drive change initiatives and measure outcomes.
  • Following our transition methodology, implement the Company’s strategy to transfer the in-scope finance and accounting work from the business units to the global delivery service centers.
  • Proactively seek out opportunities to expand the reach of the GBS organization through expanding the locations it supports and the services it offers.
  • Develop and review the financial budgets and forecasts for the GBS organization and support other functions in the development and review of their financial budgets
  • Demonstrate commitment to open communication in an effort to fully participate in organizational problem-solving, decision making and strategic planning.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting according to DS needs and expectations
  • Enhance and/or develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of GBS operations and impact
  • Build and develop a global team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability, learning, and innovation.
  • Lead with empathy, diversity, and inclusion at the forefront of team development and engagement.

Qualification & Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
  • Graduate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related discipline, preferred.
  • Professional certification strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 14 years of professional experience in related function
  • Global company experience, including leadership of a globally disbursed team
  • Experience robotics process automation, artificial intelligence, data analytics and visualization and other emerging technologies
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA or other large ERP applications
  • Medical device or manufacturing experience preferred

  • Willingness to travel as necessary, approximately 25%
