Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring the financial health and performance of SG&A functions through effective planning, analysis, and control of financial resources
- Providing guidance to support the achievement of business objectives and assisting Group Functions in evaluating options and exploring opportunities critical to the company’s mission and strategic goals
- Streamlining processes, planning and forecasting, generating insights through reporting, and supporting ad hoc requests
- Managing periodic financial results and preparing management reporting, including executive summaries and business commentary
- Monitoring and analyzing financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making, drive growth, and ensure financial and operational excellence
- Leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for your respective function
- Collaboration with various departments to drive financial efficiency and cost control
- Supporting KPI and target-setting processes
- Contributing to financial reporting presented to the Executive Management Team and the VELUX Board
- Developing global templates and advanced Excel models to optimize financial planning, reporting processes, and business cases, guiding optimal budget allocation and investment decisions
- Supporting Finance Business Partners, other finance colleagues, and stakeholders in business functions with ad hoc queries and insights
Qualification & Requirements
- Relevant experience as a Senior Business Controller or in a similar role
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills
- Skill in enhancing and streamlining cross-functional processes
- Effective communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in financial software and tools
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) will be beneficial
- The ability to work individually and as part of a team
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience supporting a global corporate function in a multinational environment is an advantage.
