Description

The Controller’s Group is currently recruiting a Senior Manager of Accounting Operations. Our client is a public manufacturing company in the technology space. Reporting to the Controller, this role will be responsible for the day to day operations of the accounting department including reviewing the work of staff. The ideal candidate must have experience working in a public company overseeing Shared Services in India. This role will be hands on requiring a keen attention to detail as well as an ability to navigate in a fluid lean environment. This contract role is open due to someone’s departure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversight of operations of the shared service center accounting team in India.
  • Support and coordination of closing activities and accurate and timely reporting of the monthly closing process.
  • Responsible for ensuring internal controls are in place and maintenance of SOX compliance US GAAP and company accounting guidance.
  • Drive continuous improvement and of reporting and analytical processes to drive productivity and efficiency.
  • Provide analytical and financial ad hoc support to sites.
  • Oversight of accounting transactions and record to the GL as necessary to ensure the financials are accurate, complete, and in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Research accounting literature to ensure compliance with GAAP.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance and/or the equivalent in experience
  • CPA or ACCA is preferred
  • 7+ years of accounting experience
  • Manufacturing company experience is highly preferred
  • Experience working in a publicly traded company is required
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, SOX and financial regulations
  • Well organized, detailed oriented, open to change and willing to learn new skills
  • Experience with ERP systems
