Description
Saint-Gobain is seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Lead to support our Shared Services Center (SSC), working in close collaboration with Business Unit (BU) teams and outsourced service providers. This is a remote role with preference for candidates based near Malvern, PA or Worcester, MA.
You’ll play a key role in overseeing month-end close, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls across a global business structure. This role offers the opportunity to lead critical initiatives, deliver strong client service, and mentor cross-functional accounting teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support day-to-day SSC and service provider accounting operations.
- Approve journal entries, P&L reports, account reconciliations, intercompany invoices, and income tax provisions.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end close and delivery of financials.
- Review Magnitude reporting packages and ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Monitor internal control adherence (ICRF) across SSC, BU, and vendors.
- Collaborate on special projects and process improvements.
- Provide audit and tax support, including documentation and resolution of issues.
- Guide service provider teams with technical accounting insights.
Qualification & Requirements
- QAD experience is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration (CPA/CMA and/or advanced degree preferred).
- 5–10 years’ general accounting experience in a large, international organization.
- Solid understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and internal control frameworks.
- Experience working with shared service and outsourced accounting teams.
- Strong Excel and ERP systems skills.
- Ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and work across time zones and cultures.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting financial reporting for high-volume account portfolios.
- Prior experience with Magnitude reporting and compliance.
- Familiarity with international tax, treasury, and regulatory reporting processes.
