Description
The team you will be working with is ONE Danone Business Services (DBS), responsible for delivering standardized and comprehensive solutions to improve work quality and employee, customer and supplier services across Europe. One DBS operates through various departments, covering areas such as jak Procure to Pay, Record to Report, Invoice to Cash, Employee Services, Master Data Management, Internal Control, Tax. One DBS function is based in Warsaw and supports various business functions to enhance operational efficiency across Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- VAT and Intrastat Compliance Management for EU scope of countries
- Oversee and manage the transition of tax compliance works from other EU countries to Warsaw Indirect Tax Service Delivery Center
- Oversee and manage the team of tax specialist responsible for the preparation and submission of indirect tax returns in multiple jurisdictions
- Ensure timely and accurate filing and payment of all indirect tax returns
- Support in the implementation of VAT tool for countries that still have manual process
- Tax Advisory in the area of VAT with cooperation with local Heads of Tax from EU scope.
- Work closely with the Heads of Tax from EU scope, P2P, I2C, R2R Europe Director and Global Indirect Tax Head.
- Identifying opportunities to optimize indirect tax compliance processes and controls and implementing process improvements
- Participation in projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness of indirect tax compliance.
- Providing and maintaining indirect tax guidelines and training for internal stakeholders (P2P, I2C).
- Coordinating and managing external advisors when required.
- Business owner of ITC & TaxCube Deloitte tool used for VAT compliance in SDC Warsaw
- Role with direct reporting line for Head of TAX CEN and SDC Indirect Tax Europe
Qualification & Requirements
- A University degree in Tax / Economics / Finance / Accounting or equivalent.
- 8+ years working experience in an tax/accounting or finance management position either gained as an in-house tax manager or consulting.
- Solid knowledge of Indirect taxes within EU.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Shared Services Center/Center of Excellence experience is an additional asset.
- Level of supervision required: works independently as an expert. May manage projects/ processes within own area of expertise
- Problem-solving, continues improvement mindset with ability to influence different stakeholders.
- Fluent English
- Accounting ERP Systems knowledge SAP (Navision would be a plus).
