Description

Join a leading national healthcare company who is currently undergoing a significant organizational transformation and are seeking a high-caliber leader to drive the evolution of their HR Operations and Shared Services divisions.

As the Associate Director, you will be a key architect in designing and implementing their future-state operating model. You will lead “Movement of Work” initiatives, ensuring that operational transitions between Centers of Excellence (COEs) and other stakeholders are seamless and efficient. This is a critical leadership role for a professional who excels at building organizational capacity, optimizing complex processes, and fostering a culture of operational excellence.

Remote Associate Director of Shared Services/HR Ops- Contract to Possible Hire, Oracle HCM

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating Model Design & Execution: Lead the creation and execution of a future-state HR Operating Model. Specifically focus on the Movement of Work, shifting operational tasks away from HRBPs and COEs into a structured Shared Services environment.
  • Tiered Support & Technology Alignment: Build and execute a Tiered Support Model (Tier 0-3) and a comprehensive Service Catalog. Align these structures with core technologies—specifically ServiceNow HRSD—to enable seamless work intake and case management.
  • Location Strategy & Scaling: Develop and implement Location Strategies (Onshore/Offshore/Nearshore) to scale the organization. Conduct resource analysis and org structure development to ensure sustainable service delivery.
  • Capability & Team Development: Build HR Operations teams from the ground up. This includes capability development, performance management, and establishing agile standard practices to evolve the team’s skill sets.
  • Change & Project Management: Act as the primary lead for the “moving pieces” of the transformation. Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle of operational migrations, ensuring stakeholder readiness and minimal business disruption.
  • Process Optimization: Standardize workflows in collaboration with Knowledge Management. Identify opportunities to reduce manual intervention and improve accuracy across the HR Tech stack.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Act as a strategic partner to COEs and enterprise functions to define future-state designs and successful transition pathways.
  • Vendor & Budget Stewardship: Manage vendor relationships (contractors, consulting firms), oversee SOW/contract negotiations, and maintain budget discipline for HR Operations initiatives.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Experience: 10+ years of leadership experience specifically within HR Operations, Shared Services, or HR Service Delivery in an enterprise environment.
  • Proven Transformation Track Record: Demonstrated success in organizational transformation, including the physical restructuring of teams and the evolution of service delivery models.
  • Operating Model Expertise: Direct, hands-on experience designing and implementing an HR Operating Model initiative (shifting work from HRBPs/COEs).
  • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with ServiceNow HRSD (preferred), Oracle HCM, UKG, and iCIMS.
  • Support Model Mastery: Proven experience building Tiered Support Models, Service Catalogs, and Location Strategies.
  • Global Delivery: Familiarity with offshore support models and managing global service delivery teams.
  • Leadership: Strong people-leading experience with a focus on org structure development, resource analysis, and change management.
  • Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and executive leadership.
  • At our clients’ request, only individuals with required experience will be considered.

  • Please note – if you have recently submitted your resume to a PangeaTwo posting, your qualifications will be considered for other open opportunities.
